WSCGA Foundation Equipment Donations
The next time you purchase a new set of irons or driver or clean out your husband's cache of clubs, please consider donating your old golf equipment to the WSCGA Foundation. Somewhere, there is a young girl with golf dreams who would welcome the chance to have her own set of clubs so she, too, can play the game.
Quality used equipment has been distributed to and joyfully received by the following high schools and golf programs:
In addition, enough used equipment has been collected to make the Girls' CIF-Southern Section lottery an annual event. Each fall, golf coaches from Southern California high schools with demonstrated financial need can select golf equipment for use by their teams. With the Foundation's support, girls' high school coaches are able to select much needed golf equipment, bags and shoes.
Help the Foundation. Golf bags that still look good, gently worn or new golf shoes, golf balls (used and new), woods, irons and putters that are no longer in use or favored are all acceptable and welcome. The Foundation respectfully requests that you not donate rusty or ancient clubs, well-worn golf shoes or bags that are ripped or threadbare; and no cart bags please, as juniors must walk when they play.
In some circumstances, a pick-up of donated equipment can be arranged. Donations may otherwise be dropped off at the WSCGA Foundation office during business hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The office is located at 402 W. Arrow Hwy. Suite 10, San Dimas 91773. For questions, call 909-592-1281 x212.
The Foundation thanks the WSCGA clubs and members who have taken the time to collect items that will benefit young women in Southern California in their participation in the game.
